3.2.3 - Stories - Through a varied and diverse approach to authentic, child-friendly texts, students can explore and understand both the wording and the essential plot elements. Support in the form of nonverbal and verbal semanticization techniques, such as situational embedding and text-accompanying demonstrations and visualizations, is useful here. Analog and (where available) digital media, such as picture books, graphic novels, comics, learning apps, or videos, can be attributed a motivating effect. Students can also discuss the extracted messages in communicative exchanges with others and may thus receive inspiration for their own short-format text productions, such as photo stories, social media posts, chats, emails, picture stories, comics, or film clips.
